Meet Yvette Otieno. This 22-year old Kenyan is currently living and studying in Paris. Yvette is a solo traveler who loves discovering new places, taking photos, and learning wherever she goes. Inspired by Jessica Nabongo, the first black woman to have traveled to every country in the world, Yvette hopes to someday do that too.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
If I could travel anywhere in the world right now I would go to Tulum, Mexico then Bora Bora or Dubai and also the Maldives.... I can't decide but these are my top 3.
What advice would you give to women who are nervous about traveling alone?
If you only focus and do things you're good at, you will never learn; if you never go, you will never know.
The most important thing I would advise is a quote; "If you make friends with yourself you will never be alone." ~Maxwell Maltz
What's your favorite thing about traveling?
My favorite thing about traveling is the opportunity to discover new places and also fulfilling my goals. I love being in new places and also trying new things.
What's something people would be surprised to know about you?
Something people would be surprised to know about me: My main goal in making international friends is to get a chance to visit their countries and stay at their places while I discover their countries
